I can't tell you HOW MUCH your article has helped me. I have been in an abusive relationship for 4 years now. I even got out a few years ago, but then got drawn back into it (and lost friends over it because they couldn't stand seeing me going back into such a sick situation) and even married the guy and had a son with him who is now two. I have read lots of things online about emotional abuse, because of course, I have been unsure if it really IS abusive or not (even though my friends have told me it is countless times). Nothing I have read quite describes my situation more than your article. If I ever wondered if I was in an abusive relationship...I know now after reading your article that I am WITHOUT A DOUBT. I saw myself in nearly every paragraph. I am going to hold on to this article and when I feel myself getting drawn back into it, if the lines become foggy for me for some reason like they have before, I am going to keep your article in front of me so I can hold on to reality...not my husband's current twisted reality that I seem to continually get drawn back into. So, once again, THANK YOU!!!! I am taking steps to get out and have an apartment on hold and a meeting with an attorney next week to file for divorce.

I read your article about Emotional Abuse. I did some research and then ran into this article. I sensed that I was being abused and then you hit the nail on the head...cleared it right up for me! I will be headed to the court house for an annulment or divorce this week.

I like the icons in the top right side of your website of strong women. If you were to sell these images as a giant poster or even on a coffee mug I would definitely buy them. Just a suggestion.
Your website is truly inspiring. It helps women and men view their behavior, as well as the behavior of others, from a different point of view. A whole new awareness has opened up for me.
Heartless Bitches definitely reminds me of the character Lucy Tantamount in the brilliant book Point Counter Point by Aldous Huxley. I highly recommend it.
