I finally realized why I was unhappy--I was using my relationships as an excuse to be unhappy. So I decided to wake up & start having a life. I realized one day that I was having a hell of a lot of fun, and made a pact with myself never to go back. I told my ex when he called, "I'm glad we broke up. I'm so much happier without you!" I'll never again change myself or suppress any part of myself for the sake of a relationship. It's no fun and it always backfires anyway.
