...because I don't need to use other people to get where I want to go. I've always made my own way in life and depended on myself, and I've got no problem with giving my honest opinion on matters. I don't believe in sitting in a corner weeping because a perfect life hasn't landed in your lap, nor do I believe people should avoid responsibility for their actions or lack of action.

I'm disgusted by the notion some people have that being male/female/skinny/muscular/whatever makes them a better person. I think providing we show an ounce of intellect and open-mindedness, we are all equal. I believe good relationships are built on equality and that it is possible to be in a relationship where both partners are equal and independent (I'm in such a relationship). I also think that beauty isn't found in a makeup box or under the surgeon's knife. True beauty is the ability to state your mind, think for yourself and accept who and what you are.
