There are so many things. I'll narrow it to the top three.
<rant>
My biggest pet peeve is women "on the system" who live in subsidized
housing (that I pay for!), receive welfare (that I pay for!) and do nothing but
whine and complain about how horrible their lives are. YOU made your life
this way, and YOU can change it. DON'T tell me I don't understand; I have been a
sole-support parent for eight years. "Get off your ass, get a job, and support
the children who never asked to be born. It is people like you that give the
phrase 'single mom' a negative connotation and make things difficult for women
like me."
My second biggest pet-peeve is idiots. I don't care if they're male or
female. Ignorance can be excused once or (in extreme situations) twice, but I
have no tolerance for someone unwilling to learn. "Your last ten boyfriends have
been assholes? What is wrong with YOU?"
Lastly, whatever happened to the concept of personal responsibility? Your
life is what you make it. If you smoke a pack of cigarettes a day, and you get
lung cancer, DO NOT sue the tobacco company. If you drink and drive and you are
in an accident, DO NOT sue the bar that served you. Stop blaming all your
problems on your childhood. It's OVER, deal with shit, learn from it, and move
the fuck ON already.
