My parents moved a lot from country to country when I was little. I've had to adapt to environments where people were not willing to accept me. I've had to become somewhat more self-sufficient than an average child might be early on and to learn foreign languages in foreign countries. My family moved to the US when I was about fourteen. Since then I have worked very hard to perform well academically and am proud to be the first person in my family to attend college in America. I work hard for what I want. I've learned to set high goals for myself and to take the necessary actions to achieve them, to follow through.
It is maybe because I've had to adjust to major moves and changes early on that I've become intolerant of others' baffling helplessness. I am a nice person overall and I enjoy helping others (as long as they are not trying to use me or make me run their life for them). What I cannot stand is somebody ending up in the same "jam" over and over again, never learning. If girls keep leaving a guy, there must be a reason. If a girl always handles her problems the same way and it doesn't work, she should fucking try something different. And what do such people expect when they keep coming to me to whine and complain how things aren't going their way? I didn't get to where I am by doing nothing but whining. I've already told you what I think of your situation. Either give my advice a try or stop coming to me. I won't tell you anything different the next time. Stop dwelling. Go and do something about your problem. It seems like the ones who always complain are the ones who haven't had to deal with any really complicated situations in life.
I'm only 20 and there is a lot that I do not understand at this point in my life. But I am thankful for the life experience I've had so far. I've learned to be outspoken, to not settle, to not let anybody take advantage of me, and to work towards my goals. I've met some very accomplished people. I admire and respect them. As to those who only make excuses and try to get others to fix their lives for them, the only message I have is this: grow up.
