The most amusing people are usually unintentionally so, and don't understand what it is that I find so amusing. If they start catching on, I clap my hands and shout, "This one displeases me, take it away."

A belief in the importance of personal accountability is the closest thing I have to religious belief -- without all the shiny trinkets and stuff, or the nuns, or the martyrdom, or the sodomy. Okay...sometimes with the sodomy.

I don't think being one's self is an easy task, or an inevitable result of experience. An unbalanced person can have many personalities in the same body - an unbalanced culture can have the same personality in many bodies. Neither is good, but the former is more interesting.

I live in a very conservative town, filled with very stupid people and a lot of livestock. Sometimes I confuse the two, and only realize my mistake halfway through the meal.
