I am the defining force in my life. My morals, style, self-esteem, and all other aspects of personality are defined by no one but me. Among my most valued possessions are my intelligence and excellent education. Consequently I adamantly refuse to dumb down for the unlettered masses. I have no patience for voluntary stupidity or willful ignorance. If a person can't be bothered to use her brain, I can't be bothered to tolerate her.

I refuse to hand over control of my life to anyone for any reason. I can work, pay my own bills, make my own friends, amuse myself, and generally manage my own life! I'm not willing to barter away one iota of control in exchange for assistance with any of those basic functions. And I find the self-inflicted misfortune of those who do to be wicked funny.

Mostly I'd say I'm a Heartless Bitch because I'm through wondering what went wrong with my life and am busy owning it instead ­ approval neither required nor desired.
