I call a spade a spade. I won't flatter your ego or tell you what you want to hear. I could care less about all that touchy-feely crap that's been pushed on us for the last 20 years or so (thanks, Oprah). I have little tolerance for certain people who can't seem to pull on their big girl panties and get over it. These people include: perpetual victims, stay-at-home mothers, and female lawyers who act like tramps.
People who play the damn pity card like they're playing Texas Hold'em down at the casino need to give it a rest. If you're still blaming your parents for your problems and you're over 30, you're a loser. It's called personal responsibility.
Being a stay-at-home mother does not make a woman superior. Just because she bought that sexist crap her husband fed her about their "God-given roles," simply means she has the mind like a piece of Spam. Scrapbooking and boring me to death about what your 2 year old did all day does not make you superior to me. It makes you a pain in the ass. Oh and quit hanging out at your kid's school all day because you have nothing better to do. You're embarrassing him and it makes you look needy.
It has been my experience that the women lawyers in my home state generally act like tramps to get what they want from men. I know of women who have shown cleavage during depositions and lifted their skirts during jury instructions to get a favorable outcome. (Neither of those worked, by the way.) We did not go to law school to act like a Time Square hooker so knock it off. It makes the rest of us look bad and disgraces the profession. Plus it makes the male lawyers think they can say or do whatever they want to the rest of us. Just because you'll let Joe Attorney stroke your thigh doesn't mean I will.
