I'm a Heartless Bitch because I'm *FINALLY* paying attention to what my own heart tells me for the first time in my life. I am sick and tired of putting everyone's interests above my own. I'm sick and tired of striving to be the "good girl" or the "nice girl" who just smiles and puts up with more shit than she should. I'm sick of comforting myself with a faux sense of noble martyrdom when the fact is that I've been miserable at my own lack of BALLS to demand decorum and respect from people. I am determined to live my life richly, freely, peacefully. I'm determined to live a life I can be proud of. I look forward to the time when demanding respect for myself will be as much ingrained in me as my own name. Until it becomes habit, I will force myself to demand respect because I owe it to myself. If I am not for me, NO ONE will be for me.
