I know who I am. I'm over 35, unmarried with zero children, just as I want it. I catch a lot of shit for that, but that's life. I've been with the same guy since I was 25, and it's working fine.

I tend to like male friends more than female friends, because women my age never shut the hell up about their children or their newest diet plan or the latest in cosmetic surgery. Bleh. The female friends I do have tend to be like me: comfortable with themselves, able to find interests outside their family lives, educated and intelligent.

I'm a Heartless Bitch because while I do care what other people think about me (you have to be deluded to believe you really don't care what anyone thinks), I don't place a high priority on the things society says I'm supposed to value (reproduction, husband, lots of money) and I make no apologies for it. If women want to do the whole "get married, have kids, stay at home and raise them" that's fine with me. Their lives are their lives, right? Maybe someday I'll meet one of them who doesn't think it should be my life, too.
