I became a Heartless Bitch a year or so ago when I realized when people are very, very wrong, someone should say something about it. I used to be timid and polite and would never disagree with someone--certainly not strangers--for fear that they would dislike me.

I've learned the stupidity of my ways. I've learned that if some idiot is doing or saying something that pisses me off, the only way to prevent it from every happening again is to let them know, in detail, that they're being an ass. The pandering male-ego-strokers at parties are my worst enemies--they realize I've cracked the code, I've figured out how to attract men without seeming like a vapid little girl. Every time one of them shoots me an icy glare after I point out a hypocrisy in something they've said simply to appeal to the men in the room, I feel a little more triumphant.
