My ego doesn't need to be stroked by someone who victimizes themselves intentionally to obtain attention and labels me Heartless or uncaring for not caving into it. I sold my white horse and shining armor a long time ago.

Nobody's more important than anyone else despite whatever status symbols they may be proudly displaying, deserved or not, so if I come across as unimpressed, save your breath. Those of us that really earn our keep, do it for ourselves, not to show it off.

I adamantly refuse to tolerate those that jump from relationship to relationship (if you can call them relationships) rather than using the time for real work and personal growth and expecting sympathy or even encouragement for finding someone else when the 'relationship' inevitably disintegrates. I'm a lot of things, but an enabler I'm not.
