My Heartless Bitchiness primarily comes from my refusal to put up with bullshit from anybody. I am done with the whiners and self-haters I used to know and waste time with - they and others like them are no longer allowed in my life.
I ride horses as a hobby, and it pisses me off when the first thing men say upon learning this is something like: "oooh, do you get off from that?" or "save a horse ride a cowboy" or "want to ride me?" As if riding horses means my legs are always open for any man.
I am a young woman who values my education. I am majoring in biochemistry and plan to attend pharmacy school...this dumbfounds far too many people, who don't understand that women can possibly be intelligent and driven enough for such pursuits.
I am not ashamed of the fact that I LOVE sports. I am proud to enjoy the fights and profanity that come with regular attendance at hockey games. I simply do not care if this makes others view me as unfeminine or "butch" or anything else.
As a cancer survivor and chronic disease patient, I do not wallow in misery or expect sympathy from others, but rather believe these experiences have made me stronger and more able to live day-to-day as a Heartless Bitch. One thing in particular that I absolutely WILL NOT tolerate is people poking fun at the disabled or terminally/critically ill. I am not afraid to speak my mind, and though it has on occasion caused others to turn away from me, I have no regrets because I am living as myself and no one else.
