objectify my body; I prefer to shut them down with an icy stare or an acerbic
comment. I feel this misogyny is also rife when people ask, "when are you going
to get married?" I'm goddamn 22, I love my boyfriend but I have no desire to
fulfill a religious fantasy or capitalist ideal. Motherhood and wifehood are
constructed concepts that delegitmize the experiences of thousands of women,
making them feel wholly inadequate without the realisation that the system is
what confines women into the private sphere.
