I'm independent. I'm confident. I have no time for the weak and the stupid. If you make a stupid decision, yes, I'll help you get your shit straight again. But if you continue to make the SAME stupid decision, don't look to me for help.

I don't need a man to do anything for me. In fact, my HUSBAND needs ME to do things. I grew up in a woman-run (for 3 generations) excavation/construction company. My great-grandmother inherited it from her father; my grandmother ran it, my mother ran it, my aunt ran it. I have been surrounded by women who can not only drive, but repair, gigantic diesel engines and machinery. I can use a power tool with the best of them. I can also lift more than my twice-my-size husband. He knows I'm here because I WANT to be, not because I need him; and he likes it that way.

I now have two daughters of my own. My 3 year old plays with car parts, tools, and comes to work with mommy. I am going to show them what it means to be a strong, independent, accomplished person. And how not to give a fuck what other people think of you.
