Finally, I have evolved and what a journey it's been. I started as a high fashion model in New York, married into wealth, developed ovarian cancer at 26, and after 6 surgeries, and while on chemo, my husband filed for divorce - after impregnating my "best" friend. The divorce took 6 years and depleted my capital. During this time my health insurance was cancelled and my beloved restored house was burned to the ground, and my prized stallion poisoned.
Mindful of the statistics of 5 year survival rates, I decided to leave my friends/family and try to build a new life - one with resonance and joy. I moved to California, base of Yosemite, and began a new life as a partner/manager in a large cattle ranch. The lifestyle was demanding, tough, backbreaking, and joyous. At the end of 10 years, I realized; 1. the cancer was no match for me; 2.ranching was in my blood.
I moved to Oklahoma, bought 3 ranches, developed the land, rebuilt fences, corrals, barns, remodeled houses, and stocked my land with cattle. My main business is raising organic grass fed beef and organic pecans. Ranching is a tough enterprise, and combined with Mother Nature, the weak, ineffective, and pea-hearted quickly fail.
I'm now 53,still single (never remarried) and live with grace and harmony BUT I ceased taking CRAP from anyone a very long time ago!
And yes, I am called a Bitch weekly, but it's my damn ranch, my damn life, and it's going to be done my damn way!
