I live in a country (Mexico) where men have been always more important than women, we call it "machismo" as you may know. I am the elder of three (two brothers) and the only one in my family that is not married. My brothers had big wedding parties and I got an unexpected pregnancy. My boyfriend proposed me but I did not love him and, for being sincere with myself, I took the entire responsibility for my child which "cost" me that my family rejected me.
So, I am a very proud single mother. I work, pay the bills, say what I think, keep studying to be better prepared... I take my job very seriously, in my office my motto is: doing job fine at the first time, which is not of the liking of my partners, males and females, because I have a defect to be obeyed: I am a woman and if I ask a better performance from my colleagues probably is because I have PMS. I have learned to use sarcasm and irony to hurt their pride and keep going.
I am raising my daughter as an independent individual, emphasizing the importance to be a prepared woman in equal conditions of any man. I want she does what she really wants to do. That was the reason because she is the only girl in a boy's soccer football team; there are no more girls because the rest of them have to be "feminine". One of the mothers asked me to think about the possibility that my daughter be lesbian because the football... nothing to say about that, I only hope that none of her boys be gay... and what about if my daughter decides to be a lesbian? I only want her happiness!
I do not have a boyfriend because I am too busy and my priorities are different, but I am not celibate: in this specific time of my life, the only thing that I ask from a man is sexual pleasure; if he is not capable to give it to me... he is useless. I do not want a relationship and I am very sincere here. I am not interested in romance, I respect people that get married but I am very independent and it would be difficult to me sharing the decisions, the responsibilities... and the bed. I can not offer what I am not able to give.
In my country, men can have dozens of women and it makes him a "real macho". Women have to be married and faithful; no matter what... if this is different you are a "real slut"
