I grew up in a religion where the most I was ever expected to want for myself was to have 8 babies , a misogynistic husband, and a 10th grade education. When I discovered to everyone's dismay when I was 15 that I was a feminist, the ideals fell apart and I realized that I was meant for so much more. Now I am bitter and resentful towards the religion that has made it so my mother and I can never have a real relationship, and has made it so my siblings look at me like some kind of a reject because I am getting a doctorate degree.

I am also a Heartless Bitch because I am tired of men valuing me only for my ability (or lack of) to please their senses. I am tired for feeling shitty about myself because I have a brain and choose to use it. And more than anything, I am tired of women who think "feminism" is a dirty word.
