I am a 33 year old mother of two children. I have for the most part raised them on my own. I have taught both of my children (17 year old son and 8 year old daughter) that you have to work hard for the things you want in life. Good things are not just handed to you, you get up every day and work your ass off for what you want to be in life. You do not take any crap from anyone. My kids have been told that even if it's me that they think is wrong about something, stand up and let it be known. We will get to the bottom of it. But they also know how to do it respectfully with me! I cannot stand parents who let their children run the households lives! I do believe that they have opinions just like us and should be heard, they are people too. But they do not make the final decisions.
I have been in a relationship for the past three years. I'm not here to bash men, the one I have is actually a pretty good man. He knows that I stand up for what I believe in, for things that I want in life, and when I know I'm right about something. I have a lot of friends, and most of them come to me when they want an honest opinion of something. I am very blunt and opinionated, but my goal is not to just tear someone down unless they deserve it for some reason.
I have a real problem with abusive men/women in relationships and the dumb asses that stay around and put up with it! That includes all types of abuse and not just physical. If a person stays after the first time it happens, they are just as guilty for it as the abuser. I will not stand for any abuse of me or my children from anyone for any reason. No man is worth it! I get teased a lot and told that I should "just not be so quiet and tell people what's on my mind" from the people I work with. It shocks them that I will tell them or the bosses if things are not being done correctly or fairly. I don't deal well with stupid people and don't have a problem telling them what they lack in intelligence they make up for in stupidity. That really pretty much sums me up.
