Lexi
There is one thing that brings out my inner Bitch. Self-absorption.
I'm not just talking about the Seventeen-reading, mirror-staring, pimple-obsessing brand of self-absorption (although, going to middle school, I am exposed to that kind of attitude). I am talking about the attitude that you and your problems are so super-important that everyone should care about them and you shouldn't have to care about anyone else. I have met so many people who fall into this category, you wouldn't believe.
Emo kids who think everyone should pay attention to them because they're so "depressed".
People who pretend to be "hyper" all the time because they're sure that since THEY find that sort of behaviour entertaining, EVERYONE else must, too!
Girls who go on and on about how many boyfriends they have until I just want to scream at them that I don't give a damn whether you think of guy X or guy Y when you're making out with your football-playing high school boyfriend (sorry for the rant, but there's this one girl I know...)
Basically, this attitude annoys me because it's such a double standard. If people don't care about your life, they're being Bitchy and mean, but if they expect you to care about their lives, then they're being stupid and whiny. I know a lot of it is immaturity, but I would like to think that by the time you are old enough to have had seven boyfriends, you are old enough to understand that there is a world outside your own personal existence. Or is that just me?
