... there are things that I just won't put up with. If it means that someone calls me a bitch, I'd rather be a bitch than a victim. Too many of us are conditioned to undercut ourselves for fear that we'll be called a "bitch" or something worse. While I don't advocate going out of my way to hurt someone, or cavalierly allowing someone to get run over... Compassion is a good thing, blind compassion that rips the rug out from our own feet is another. Stupid, ignorant, vain, inconsiderate folks of any gender that launch a frontal attack in my way, or covertly leave mines in their wake, are likely to have me respond with a shot off their bow.
