The short list: general intolerance for
stupidity, selfishness, cowardice, and the
'victim' attitude.
In more detail: I don't hate men, I don't hate
the world--both have their share of high points.
What makes me sick is the rampant lack of
personal accountability that makes people look
for someone, something, anyone, anything else
to blame for their actions and behavior.
What
makes me sick is the sort of attitude that tries
to excuse failure or behavior that is just plain
wrong as 'not bad, just different.'
What makes me sick is the sort of thinking that
is so caught up in the differences between the
sexes that it forgets that people are
different, regardless of gender, and it's
impossible to pigeonhole any group so broad as
gender.
I'm not perfect, and I'll be the first to say it,
but at least I don't lie to myself about who I
am. I don't wonder what's wrong with me when I
don't fit someone else's picture-perfect mold,
and I don't apologize for the way that I am.
And when I see someone being stupid, I say
something to them about it, because life's too
short to waste on pandering to idiocy. If they
don't like hearing it--well, the truth sucks
sometimes; my advice to them becomes simply, "Do
something about it."
