I am a department manager in a large, male-dominated advertising agency.

leather/motorcycle club.
I am a dyke who prefers the company of heterosexual men to that of most
victimized, downwardly-mobile lesbians that I encounter. Because of
this, I am often treated as a traitor by the lesbian community at large.
They cannot understand why I would rather drink beer and shoot pool with
my straight male friends than go to some 12-step processing extravaganza
with a bunch of women who have yet to discover deodorant. Go figure!
I don't care if my friends are men or women, gay or straight, liberal or
conservative as long as they never apologize for their convictions and
don't expect me to apologize for mine.
I am a published author of both mainstream fiction and pornography. I
will not hide behind the term "erotica". I believe very strongly in
well-written pornography and the need for all women to reclaim their
sexuality through the written word. Women need to stop feeling that our
sexuality, whatever it may be, is dirty or sleazy. Making women feel
badly about being women with such terms as "slut" or "whore" has been a
device to punish us for being sexual beings and keep us ashamed for
generations. Yes, I am a slut. So?
I attended a small, liberal arts women's college, where I majored in
theatre and literature. This was preceded by 12 years of convent school.
I was busting at the seams for the first 21 years of my life, and have
spent the last 13 years trying to make up for it.
