The people who do not impress me have a lot of the same characteristics,
except they are missing one key element: respect. Respect for
themselves, primarily, and enough of it that they don't feel the need
to fuck around with others. I am unimpressed with abusers. I am
Unimpressed with abusees who allow and encourage the abuse to
continue. I am unimpressed with people who play petty power games,
with exes who cannot maintain contact after the breakup, and with
racist, sexist, homophobic, or otherwise prejudiced people. I am
unimpressed with people who assume that, because my lover is 13 years
older than I am, he must be taking advantage of me. I'm 23, old
enough to make my own choices, thank you very much.
I am told that I'm not giving people a chance to learn and grow. I am
told that I am exclusionary, and that I
should embrace every dork who wants to come to my parties and pet my
cat. I am told that I'm a Bitch for dismissing people who do not meet
my standards. I am told that it is just plain wrong to ignore boring
people - after all, everyone has a story to tell. I am arrogant, rude,
bitchy, intimidating, and scary. I am not a nice person, they say.
Whoever decided that nice is a virtue that should dominate all other
considerations should be taken out and shot.
Many people consider me Heartless because I don't give a fuck about
them or their problems. Many people consider me a bitch because I
won't conform to their reality.
Yes! I want to read more from Real Life Heartless Bitches
