I like people who speak their minds, and have something worthwhile in
there to communicate. I like women and men who realize that feminism is
about equality, and equality is more than spelling women as "wimmin".
I believe the media needs more strong role models, and I don't mean Ally
fucking McBeal. I admire Madonna, Annie Lennox, Ani DiFranco, and all
women in the media who have taken their lives into their own hands and
lived the way they want to. They are in control, they are strong. I
don't think being a bitch necessarily means being a rude asshole, so
there is where some of my heartlessness disappears. I prefer proper
communication to mud slinging. I am an environmentalist who will
NOT let go of her standards, and who won't rest until more people
fucking care as much as I do about our poor beleaguered world. my morals
will not be stepped on. I let them have their little victories, but when
they cross the line, I am adamant. People will not be able to convince
me that I shouldn't feel this way, because they are wrong.
Homophobia must be destroyed. Racism is wrong. As an aside, people
are too fucking sensitive about everything these days, and need to
lighten up. White people having dreadlocks and beating on drums is
"cultural appropriation"? I can't wear my crazy coloured hippie shirts,
because the design originated in Africa and I'm being racist? Give me a
break. A guy can't open a door for a woman because she's a feminist? I
open doors for everyone, regardless of gender, I think it's simply
polite. Where the hell is the world's common sense?
