I have been in worse situations than many whiners and can laugh about it. I wonder how these nice women who need a therapist because their kids were unruly at the park would cope with growing up in a country like mine (India) where for the most part, your sheer worth as a woman was measured in terms of the man you marry and how many sons you bear. What about your parents "buying" you a suitable bridegroom, and you not even having a say? I am beautiful, I am single, I have fought every "pressure" a sexist society has forced on me and under extremely tough circumstances. Today I am working on my second master's degree, I take the good with the bad and generally have no patience for whiners simply because I have been through worse, and guess what, it is no big deal. I don't blame my problems on anybody; I don't look for happiness outside myself. I am one happy bitch. I have a big heart for those who genuinely need it of course, but you gotta earn that warmth.
