Alicia
Despite my family's (church, media, school system, society in general) best efforts, I became who I wanted to be anyway. I live my life consciously and responsibly. I don't live through a husband or children. I follow MY dreams. If that makes me an odd duck -- quack fucking quack! I'm not saying it was easy. I'm not saying it IS easy. Far from it. Our culture pays a lot of lip service about women being all they can be -- "you go girl!" and all that crap. It's been my experience that if you dare step out of the pre-designated line, you're a dyke. You're a man-hater. You're a bitch. That used to insult me. It doesn't anymore. Because if stupid, frightened little people don't approve of me, I must be doing something right.
Yes! I want to read more from Real Life Heartless Bitches
