Heartless Bitches are known for a great many things, (and they should
be!) but the reason I qualify as a Heartless Bitch is because I demand
that people, including myself, take responsibility for their own lives
and happiness.
I'm not saying that people are responsible for all the bad things that
happen to them, but they choose how to respond to it. Shit happens. It
happens to everyone, but being content with their lives is a choice
people make. In fact, it was my experience of clinical depression that
helped me understand that people can't let themselves be victims of
their unhappiness. That's why I can't stand those who just drift along
the river of life, then blame the river when they don't end up somewhere
they like. Just use a fucking paddle and steer for Chrissakes! It takes
me more time and effort than it would take for most of those whiners to
be happy, and yet I AM happy. If you don't appreciate your situation,
fix it or live with it--don't come crying to me. Stop bitching for a
change and start being a Heartless Bitch.
As for relationships, I like mine honest (another important facet of
responsibility). Men and women can take it or leave it. I want a partner
who's strong enough to give me a good, swift reality check if I'm acting
like anything less than a Heartless Bitch. If that person can't handle
getting the same in return and ends up fleeing out the door, I say good
riddance. After all, partners need to support each other in their
Heartless Bitchiness--men and women alike.
Taking responsibility the Heartless Bitch way, as of late, also means
questioning politicians and the media when they try to cram propaganda
and ignorant complacency down our throats. As a Bitch who hails from the
US of A, this is becoming very important to me. "PATRIOT Act" my ass.
Any true American patriot, especially any American Heartless Bitch
patriot, who sees this document for what it is (an attempt to control
the lives of normal, non-terrorist citizens and immigrants), would be
willing to get blacklisted or worse in order to have the "PATRIOT Act"
repealed and see American civil liberties restored. Heartless Bitches
know that we all have rights, and that no government has the right to
try to victimize us. It's that simple.
There you have it; I'm a Heartless Bitch because I have what it takes to
control my own life. I've also got what it takes to tell those who don't
appreciate it that they can fuck off. They can have the privilege of
associating with me if and when they become mature, capable human
beings, but not a moment sooner.
